Lizzie (they/them) has 16+ years of experience as an agricultural commodities trader. Beginning their career for Cargill as a soybean buyer, their scope of work included trading NGMO and other specialty/IP grains, as well as working directly with farmers and grain elevators. Lizzie also notably spent over five years at Miller Milling Company buying wheat and selling wheat flour to tortilla companies and bakeries on the West Coast. Most recently, they spent seven years working at Mercaris as the Director of Trading where they built an organic and non-GMO trading platform as well as a successful brokerage business. Lizzie graduated from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul Minnesota in 2006 with dual degrees in International Studies/Economics and French. Outside of work, they enjoy training as a bodybuilder, adding to their tattoo collection, and spending time outside with their dog Migos.
