Mark Retzloff
Board Member
Mark Retzloff is a true pioneer and entrepreneurial force in the natural, organic, and sustainable food and Ag industry. He began his career more than 50 years ago while still a student at the University of Michigan, and went on to co-found Eden Foods, Rainbow Grocery, Alfalfa’s Market, Horizon Organic Dairy, and Aurora Organic Dairy. As Chairman of the Organic Food Alliance, he was instrumental in passing the Organic Food Production Act of 1990. He has also served as Chairman of Natural Habitats Group, and as a board member at the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, the Colorado State University School of Agriculture, and the University of Michigan School of the Environment and Sustainability. In 2019, Mark co-founded Flock LLC which is a dynamic movement aimed at fast-tracking regenerative agriculture for the preservation of the planet and people. Since its founding, Flock has established a 501c3 and is scheduled to launch an accelerator with Techstars in 2021. Mr. Retzloff lives outside of Boulder, Colorado on a farm with his wife Terry where they raised their three children. In his free time, he enjoys gardening, golfing, and visiting his home in Hanalei Kauai, Hawaii.
