Thank you for your support as we catalyze the regenerative revolution in agriculture!

Mad Agriculture is a nonprofit organization, which means generous people like you help make our vision a reality, an Earth where land, sea, and people can thrive together forever.

Alternative Giving Opportunities

If you are 70 ½ years old or older, you have the option to contribute a maximum of $100,000 per year directly to Mad Agriculture or other nonprofits through an IRA charitable rollover gift, also known as a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). It’s important to note that this type of distribution can only be made from a traditional IRA, not from a retirement plan like a 401(k) or 403(b), although a Roth IRA might also be eligible.

By donating in this form, you open the doors to these advantages: (1) If you are over 72 years old, you can use a QCD to fulfill part or all of your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year. (2) By donating directly from your IRA instead of receiving the income and then making a gift, you can potentially avoid being pushed into a higher tax bracket due to your RMD.

Please reach out to your IRA administrator to request a direct distribution to Mad Agriculture. They will prompt you to complete a form including Mad Agriculture’s EIN and mailing address. It is vital to ensure your name and correct contact information is associated with the transfer.

Are you interested in giving via ACH or Wire Transfer? These are convenient and efficient ways to donate to Mad Agriculture. These types of e-Payments are completed online and don’t involve paper checks (cheers to sustainability!).

Please use the information below to send an ACH or Wire.

Many donors choose to give through their Donor Advised Fund (DAF). When making a contribution through your DAF, please include your name and contact information as part of your gift so we can properly acknowledge your support.

IRS rules prohibit the use of donor-advised fund grants for any portion of a fundraising event ticket or table. Prior to making a grant recommendation, please ensure that your intentions meet any guidelines or requirements of your individual donor-advised fund as suggested by your fund’s managers.

Mad Agriculture is deeply grateful for the bequests and gifts that you have included in your estate plans as legacy gifts. You can do so by naming Mad Agriculture as the beneficiary of an asset (ex. gift of cash, securities, real estate, or other assets) in your will, or name Mad Agriculture as the beneficiary of an IRA, donor-advised fund, or life insurance plan.

If you have thoughtfully included Mad Agriculture in your estate plans, please kindly let us know by emailing our Director of Development, Haley Baron, at haley@madagriculture.org. We appreciate the opportunity to express our gratitude for your generosity and to gain insight into how your contribution will support our mission of catalyzing the regenerative revolution in agriculture.

Do you have a car, farm equipment, or other vehicle that you no longer need? You can now donate that vehicle to Mad Agriculture and get a tax write-off for your donation. We work with Careasy.org to make the process simple – including picking up the vehicle, handling the sale, and sending you the necessary IRS Form if required.

Does your company have a matching gift program? You may not realize that your company has a program that allows you to match donations; it is a widely embraced initiative by numerous esteemed corporations! If they do, you can submit a matching gift request to your employer. Your company will approve the request and then make a match donation to Mad Agriculture. This is a great way to double (sometimes triple!) the impact of your gift.

Make sure to pay attention to the deadlines for submitting your matching gift request as some companies don’t allow for gift matching after a certain amount of time from when you gave your original gift. We recommend submitting your request right after you donate to Mad Agriculture!
