Our Work

Farm & Ranch Consulting

This is where we put ideas into action. Creating an approach tailored to your land’s needs and your dreams. Through consultation, analysis, and implementation, our team offers long-term partnership, co-creating a plan for optimal ROI grounded in regenerative practices.

Our Work

Wilding Program

Wilding is a long-term regenerative agriculture strategy to reconnect lands and ecosystems across the United States. At its heart is the Wild Grid, a 50-year vision to transform 65 million acres of land into thriving, biodiverse, interconnected corridors that weave together farmland, conservation areas, and private and public lands.

Our Work

Bison Program

Bison are central to the restoration of ecosystems and the communities that have depended on them for generations. Through two complementary programs, we are working to revitalize bison populations, strengthen Indigenous food systems, and build a viable bison market across the country.

Our Ecosystem

MAD! is an ecosystem of organizations working together to create the regenerative revolution in agriculture.

We work from heart to head, poetry to science, financing to markets, and soil to shelf. Our ecosystem of organizations ensure that our farmer partners have the financial (Mad Capital), connective (Mad Markets), and strategic (Mad Agriculture) support they need to thrive. We meet farmers where they’re at in their journey as they transition to regenerative agricultural models.

Stories

From The Field

Mad Agriculture is built on a singular mission: to create a regenerative revolution in agriculture. Yet beneath that mission is an even larger vision, one that orients everything we do. We are working toward an Earth where land, sea, and people thrive together forever. In this effort, we weave diverse forms of art, spirituality, science, and policy to amplify farmer stories, showcase the vitality of regeneration, and invite others to join the movement.

STORY

Photographer Ian Warren draws on his family's ranching and rodeo roots to create romanticized, mythic images of the American West, focusing on rodeo culture at Colorado's Deer Trail Rodeo, work he developed further through Magnum Photography's mentorship program.

STORY

Farming has a PR issue. It’s never been harder to become a farmer, and even more difficult to become a young farmer.  Industry forecasting into the future with rapidly unpredictable weather patterns is leaving younger generations of farmers with very little support.

FILM

While her new husband Josiah completed Air Force basic training, Sarah Harder ran their South Dakota cattle ranch, Arrow J Acres, and recorded her experience in journal entries reflecting on solitude, purpose, and her deepening connection to the land.
