This hat is a product of regeneration. Regeneration of the soil, the fashion industry, the waste system, and more. The hat is made entirely of reclaimed waste cotton and recycled scraps. Our team hand-dyed these hats using all-natural, 100% plant-based indigo.

We threw a dye party with some friends in the Mad Ag alley, ate some pizza, and dunked these hats four times, giving them a variegated, medium indigo wash. We hung them to dry for a day and then gave them a light wash to remove any excess dye residue.

We sourced the indigo from Stony Creek Colors, which works with regenerative farmers to make the world’s first traceable, 100% certified plant-based indigo. This company is disrupting the fashion industry to help solve the excessive and harmful use of chemicals in textile and clothes production. To learn more about indigo, check out Fibershed and their indigo guide. When you buy one of these hats, you support the upcycling of cotton and the use of natural dyes when dying clothing.
